The charges against Deondrick Raymon Foley and Joseph Michael Delancy have been changed slightly, according to the Tarrant County Jail website.

I posted yesterday about the arrests on January 22 of the two men who had acted as foster parents to three-year-old Amari Boone at the time of his death in April of last year.

Amari was taken to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas on April 10, 2020 with blunt force injuries that proved to be fatal. Amari succumbed to his injuries on Easter Sunday.

Amari and his 19-month-old brother were wards of the state of Texas at the time of Amari’s death.

Interestingly, late last night, Joseph Delancy’s single charge of injury to a child with intent was changed to a single charge of injury to a child by omission resulting in serious bodily injury.

In addition, Joseph’s bond was increased from $5,000 to $15,000.

Joseph’s mugshot was also updated on the jail website, resulting in this gem.

Deon Foley’s seven counts of injury to a child with intent have been changed to seven counts of injury to a child with bodily injury.

His bond on each charge remains listed at $15,000, although it is still unclear if each charge carries a separate bond.

Deon’s booking photo has also been added to the jail website.

I will continue to keep an eye on the case and provide updates as quickly as possible.
