Clint Dammon Mason of Bakersfield, California must really fancy himself a tough guy. I mean, for what other reason would a big, bald, burly man, 6’2” tall, weighing 235 pounds, allegedly cause fatal injuries to an eight-year-old girl and then run away like a little bitch?
I’m more than a little fired up over this one, and it’s not because of what this spineless jackwagon is accused of doing to his girlfriend’s young daughter, because we don’t know yet exactly what caused the death of Ger’Mya Amiah Alexander on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. No, what has me angry is that anyone had the nerve to take the life of someone as sweet, kind, and clearly adored as the little girl whose family called her both Mya and Pumba.
Last Wednesday at 5:44 AM, Bakersfield police were called to a unit in the apartment block at 2711 San Dimas Street on a report of a child not breathing. Inside the apartment, officers found eight-year-old Ger’Mya unresponsive and suffering from “obvious signs of trauma,” according to the Bakersfield Police Department’s official Facebook account. First responders began life-saving efforts, and she was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, Ger’Mya succumbed to her injuries later that morning.

Reportedly, Ger’Mya’s mom, 33-year-old Amber Fisher, went to work that morning, leaving her daughter in the care of her boyfriend, 38-year-old Clint Mason. According to some news sources, Clint is the father of Amber’s youngest child. There is no indication if any other children were home at the time of the incident that left Ger’Mya fatally injured.
Meanwhile, police launched a manhunt for Clint, who does not own a vehicle and was thought to be on foot. Police said that due to a pre-existing injury, he walked with a limp. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie near the apartment building, although police believed he may have been headed for the Los Angeles area, where some of his family lives.

The following morning, Clint was arrested at a Motel 6 in Inglewood without incident and transported back to Bakersfield. He faces three felony charges, including first-degree murder, torture, and willful cruelty to a child. He is being held in the Lerdo Justice Facility without bail and is scheduled for arraignment on March 30, 2020 at 1:30 PM.
What’s really concerning to me is that the charges against him leave so much up in the air as far as what he may have done to that sweet little girl. There’s no charge of battery, which leads me to believe police don’t think he beat or bludgeoned her, so… what the fuck did he do?

For little Ger’Mya’s sake, whatever it was, I hope it was fast and the poor baby wasn’t conscious for any of it.
No autopsy results have been publicly released.
According to true crime vlogger Kasey Renee on YouTube, Amber’s family has stated that she and Clint had a volatile relationship and that he had violent tendencies. Reportedly, the police had gotten involved in the past, possibly responding to a domestic situation, although it appears no charges were ever filed.

A GoFundMe campaign has been created by Demond Coleman, one of Ger’Mya’s older cousins. He wrote:
“Ger’Mya was such a beautiful smart sweet little girl, she had the brightest smile, supportive, hardworking, and very understanding. She always made those around her smile. At such a young age and so full of life she made a difference in everyone and cared deeply about the people she crossed. She was always a big help to her little brothers who will miss her dearly. She always wanted peace and never no negativity. Mya was also such [a] spiritual little girl, always wanted to pray to GOD.”
Ger’Mya Amiah Alexander was born on October 12, 2011 in Bakersfield. Her loss is grieved by a large extended family. Sadly, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, they are unable to plan a standard funeral, although they do plan to have a memorial for Ger’Mya.
Tragically, this is the second death in as many months to devastate the family. Exactly one month before Ger’Mya’s death, on February 18, Amber’s 39-year-old cousin, Kristi Allen, died tragically of an unspecified illness.
Ger’Mya will be buried next to Kristi.

One of Ger’Mya’s aunts, Tameka Daniel, talked about her niece on Facebook Live last week, remembering how Ger’Mya “loved to go to church” and spent every other weekend with Tameka’s mother, Ger’Mya’s paternal grandmother, who she called Granny. “She loved my mama. She slept with my mama,” Tameka said. She fondly recalled Ger’Mya once telling her about getting in trouble at school for talking too much, but she remembered her niece as a “good kid” who was “full of life” and with whom the family never had a bad time. She described playing a recent game of Duck, Duck, Goose on the trampoline with her young niece.

“It’s a hard pill to swallow,” Tameka said about Ger’Mya’s death. “She was stolen from us, and she was just a baby.” She said the family was not allowed to see Ger’Mya at the hospital but that she wouldn’t have wanted to see her niece in that condition.
Tameka also said that a lot of people have been “bashing” Ger’Mya’s mother, Amber, on Facebook and lamented that this is “not the time.” Tameka said she can’t be angry with Amber herself and that the loss of their daughter must be “the most devastating thing in the world” for the little girl’s parents.
Tameka’s 19-year-old daughter, who goes by Laylay, asked her why God didn’t take her instead of Mya. Laylay seems to be taking Ger’Mya’s death particularly hard, as she was very close with the little girl, frequently referring to her as “my baby.”

Who gave you the right to do this story without real facts and to put another family member in it with her pics you don’t know how Kristi died she has nothing to do with this story I hope your sorry ass podcast goes no where signed Mya’s Aunt
And Kristi cousin.
I’m very sorry to have offended you. I’ve traded messages with Amber, who is aware of my blog, although she said she doesn’t read stories about Ger’Mya. My podcast this week was about Ger’Mya’s story with the help of her aunt Tameka. I assure you, I meant no offense by including Kristi’s death; quite the opposite, in fact — your family has my deepest sympathy for the tragedies you’ve experienced.
